Join Priest’s Coaches to escape the cold and visit Coffs Harbour and many of the beautiful coastal cities of Northern NSW. We then make our return journey via Grafton and Tamworth to see some of the historic inland cities NSW has to offer.
DAY 01 (D): WAGGA WAGGA TO THE CENTRAL COAST – Sunday 21 July 2024
Welcome to our 7-day coach tour to beautiful Coffs Harbour and northern NSW. Today is a travel day, so sit back and relax as we make the appropriate stops on our way heading straight to the Central Coast.

DAY 02 (BLD): CENTRAL COAST TO COFFS HARBOUR – Monday 22 July 2024
From the Central coast we get back out onto the Pacific Freeway and pass through Newcastle and have our morning stop in Bulahdelah. Just outside Port Macquarie is our lunch stop at Riccardoes Tomato and Strawberry Farm, then this afternoon we have a short break in Urunga to look at the local boardwalk before arriving at Coffs Harbour late afternoon.

DAY 03: (BLD): EXPLORING COFFS HARBOUR – Tuesday 23 July 2024
After breakfast we depart on a sightseeing tour of the area. First, we head to Bruxner Park. Driving up through banana plantations and avocado groves to the new Forest Sky Pier. The Forest Sky Pier is located on an escarpment 310 metres above Coffs Harbour offering views out to the coast; on a clear day you can see 100km to the south! Next, we are off to the Coffs Harbour Clog Barn for morning tea and a Clog making demonstration. Late in the morning we travel to The Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary. Here we have lunch and enjoy a marine show featuring dolphins and seals, afterwards visit Seal Shores and Dolphin Lagoon. Our final stop for the day is the Bunker Cartoon Gallery, located in a restored WW2 underground bunker. It is now a funky up-tempo gallery featuring changing exhibitions of Australian and international cartoons.

DAY 4 (BLD) BELLINGEN & DORRIGO – Wednesday 24 July 2024
Today we will enjoy the magnificent Bellinger Valley and the Dorrigo Plateau. The Coffs Harbour Butterfly House consists of a fully enclosed glasshouse that is the home for 350-400 live Australian butterflies. Strolling amongst these beautiful creatures, visitors can experience the life cycle of the butterfly, spend time with the informative guide and often have butterflies land on them. We then travel via Bellingen up to the Dorrigo Plateau where we visit Dangar Falls and the Dorrigo National Park. We see some magnificent rainforest country and stunning views. The information centre and a number of easy walks will introduce us to the beauty and serenity of the rainforest. The Skywalk will provide us with some spectacular views as well as lunch, then we return to Coffs Harbour.

DAY 05 (BD): YAMBA – Thursday 25 July 2024
This morning, we travel north to explore Yamba with a local expert joining the coach before visiting the award-winning Yamba Museum for morning tea and to uncover the towns rich and diverse history. Wander through the school room display depicting the historical record of public education and access the ‘Old Kirk’, the adjoining church and view the current exhibitions. We have some free time to purchase lunch before taking a short Ferry ride to Iluka – a beautiful coastal town close to one of Australia’s rarest and most accessible rainforest remnants. From Iluka we have a look around town before returning to Coffs Harbour this afternoon.

DAY 6 (BD) GRAFTON, GLEN INNES & ARMIDALE – Friday 26 July 2024
Leaving Coffs Harbour, we now head to Grafton, known for its colonial buildings and beautiful Jacaranda trees that line the streets. We step back in time to a bygone era with our morning tea visit to Schaeffer House, now home to the Clarence River Historical Society, the oldest historical society in the country. Built from 1901 to 1903, the homestead was built by the son of pioneer German family, Mr. Frederick Schaeffer, who was the towns first architect. Our lunch stop is in Glen Innes and this afternoon we pass through Armidale with a stop at Saumarez Homestead before arriving in Tamworth for our final night’s accommodation for the tour.

DAY 7 (B) HOMEWARD BOUND – Saturday 27 July 2024
We bid farewell to our hosts early morning and head for home via Dubbo and West Wyalong.
