Day 1 (LD): WAGGA WAGGA TO MILDURA – Sunday, 25^th April 2027

Come along with Priest’s Coaches as we head off on a charming all-inclusive cruise aboard the spectacular Murray Princess. Today we head off and make our way through southern inland NSW to Mildura. Here we will enjoy dinner at the hotel and head to bed for our last night on dry land for the next 4 days.

Day 2 (BD): MILDURA TO CAURNAMONT – Monday, 26^th April 2027

We start the day with breakfast at the hotel before checking out and reboarding the coach. We will take a quick loop around Mildura before heading to Mannum with time to find some lunch before boarding our new home for the next 4 nights. Mid-afternoon the Murray Princess departs historic Mannum, the birthplace of the Murray River trade and communication, and heads upriver while you enjoy a Welcome Dinner. As we cruise under floodlight to our overnight mooring at Caurnamont, you may see nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank. Watch for kangaroos, hairy-nosed wombats, tortoises, egrets, and many other species. The on-board entertainer provides music for the night owls.

Day 3 (BLD): CAURNAMONT TO BLANCHETOWN – Tuesday, 27^th April 2027

Daybreak and it’s time for the keen photographers to be out to capture the special light and the morning movement of wildlife. Prolific birdlife includes pelicans, wrens, and swans. Enjoy a leisurely morning and lunch cruising upriver to Blanchetown through one of 13 lochs which maintain the flow and levels of the river’s water. This afternoon we moor opposite to the township of Blanchetown for our overnight anchorage. As the last rays of the sun fade, we visit Burk Salter Boutique Winery and enjoy wine tasting at the cellar door which is fitted out with beautiful red gum bars. After dinner, join us for all the fun and excitement, and participate in the “Murray River Cup”.

Day 4 (BLD): BLANCHETOWN TO SUNNYDALE – Wednesday, 28^th April 2027

After breakfast we cruise downriver to picturesque Swan Reach. The town, first settled in the 1850s, was originally the largest of five sheep and cattle stations in the area and is now home to native flower and fruit growers. The original Swan Reach homestead is now the Swan Reach Hotel where you can enjoy an ale or cappuccino overlooking the Murray River. From here you can join a walking tour and visit the Swan Reach Museum (gold coin donation at entry). We cruise downriver after lunch and take in the tranquillity as the landscape slides by. When we arrive at Sunnydale, it’s all ashore for the Woolshed Show as we recreate typical Australian woolshed history. Later we visit the Native Wildlife Shelter where some of South Australia’s most interesting native animals are cared for. And then it’s time for the great Aussie Barbecue – cooked and served in a bush setting on the banks of the mighty Murray River.

Day 5 (BLD): SUNNYDALE TO YOUNGHUSBAND – Thursday, 29^th April 2027

After an optional early morning Bush Tucker Breakfast* or bush walk with the Captain, the vessel cruises slowly downriver past magnificent cliffs scoured by the river over millions of years. We reach Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve, one of Australia’s most significant archaeological sites, for a step back in time – tens of thousands of years – for a guided boardwalk tour to view ancient rock carvings and to learn about Aboriginal history in the area. We return to the vessel to cruise downriver to Younghusband. Along the way, adventure seekers can also take a scenic tender boat ride. Tonight, join your fellow guests for a delicious final night dinner and enjoy the evening entertainment.

Day 6 (BLD): YOUNGHUSBAND TO BALRANALD – Friday, 30^th April 2027

We leave Younghusband and head back to Mannum. After breakfast we reluctantly say farewell to the Murray Princess as we arrive at the Mannum Wharf. After we disembark, its back on the bus to begin our journey home. Along the way we stop in Ouyen to stretch our legs and enjoy some lunch, before heading on to Balranald for our dinner and accommodation for the night.

Day 7 (B): BALRANALD TO WAGGA WAGGA – Saturday, 1^st May 2027

After a tasty breakfast in the hotel, its back on the bus for the last leg of our journey back to Wagga. We will stop in Darlington Point for a lunch stop. As we arrive back in town, we say farewell and see you next time, after a week of stunning beauty and good times.

We board our coach this morning in Wagga Wagga and head to Sydney, with a stop along the way to enjoy some lunch. Arriving in Sydney, we will check in and then you are free to find some dinner in the hotel restaurant or choose from the many options available in the airport terminal.

DAY 2 (D): Fly to Norfolk Island – Wednesday, 3^rd February 2027

This morning, we walk across the road to the Sydney International Airport and check in for our flight to Norfolk Island. Once checked in, we will have plenty of time to find something for breakfast in the terminal, before boarding our flight to paradise. A light lunch will be served on board the flight. Upon arrival on Norfolk Island, we are greeted by our local tour driver and transferred to Paradise Hotel & Resort, Norfolk Island. Here we will be greeted by Sandy, Karina & their friendly staff, and this will be our home for the next 7 nights! We have time to settle in and unpack this afternoon, before we enjoy the first of many delicious dinners here on the island.

DAY 3 (BD): Orientation Tour & Progressive Dinner – Thursday, 4^th February 2027

What better way to start our time on the island than with a half day orientation tour. Following breakfast at our accommodation we will be taken to some of the key historic areas, including Kingston, Cascade and Longridge. This is our chance to learn all about the fascinating history of Norfolk Island. See the famous convict buildings for yourself and enjoy the stories told in the full commentary as you visit each new place. Take in the amazing views from the lookouts, where you’ll get to enjoy our beautiful beaches in all their glory. Learn about Norfolk Island government, laws and of course our unique lifestyle. Some of the highlights include the renowned Melanesian Chapel and a visit to the grounds of an old island home – where you will be served morning tea. After our tour we return to the resort for a free afternoon. From here you can head into the township of Kingston to check out the local shops or take a break and relax by the pool in the resort. To finish off the day, we enjoy a 3-course meal progressing to different Norfolk Island family homes.  A fun night, and a great way to meet the local people, and sample some of the island dishes.

DAY 4 (BD): McCullough’s Home & Island Fish Fry – Friday, 5^th February 2027

After breakfast at the resort, we travel to the home of Colleen McCullough, world renowned author of 24 books who called Norfolk Island home for almost 36 years. Sadly, Colleen passed away in 2015 after a long battle with illness.  Her beloved property “Out Yenna” is now open to tour.  You are escorted through her magnificent home and can view Ric and Colleen’s priceless collection of artefacts gathered on their travels all over the world and see where her books were researched. This a glimpse into the life of a modern-day literary icon. We will split our group in half for this tour, with the other half enjoying some free time to explore town, before swapping with the other group. Dinner tonight is the famous Fish Fry. The Norfolk Island Fish Fry is by far the most popular event for any visitor. This fantastic event has been operating for over 40 years. Imagine – a feast of local dishes, salads and homemade bread, alongside mouth-watering fried fish that has been caught that very day.  Your feast overlooks breathtaking coastal scenery as the sun sets – with live music in the background. But the day is not over yet, before returning to our accommodation we visit the Sound & Light Show. Nightfall at Kingston brings a different mood to the convict settlement. The stillness and the stars are just as they were before mankind arrived in 1788. However, with the dramatic use of real-life sound together with theatrical lighting and costumed actors, the stillness is broken as Pinetree Tours takes you through the horrifying decades of Norfolk Island’s convict era.

DAY 5 (BD): Norfolk Industry & Cyclorama – Saturday, 6^th February 2027

An earlier start to things today, after we enjoy our breakfast at the resort, we head out to meet some locals. To get a real insight into the lifestyle on Norfolk Island, we need to meet the people and see them in action.  Norfolk Island has many small businesses making different local products that we can see – and maybe have a taste of! We will also enjoy morning tea at a beautiful scenic location. After our tour, we return to our accommodation, then head next door to visit the Cyclorama. An outstanding attraction & Tourism Awards winner, this stunning 360° panoramic painting has been impressing visitors with its ‘wow’ factor for over 10 years. It brings to life the Bounty mutiny & the history of the Norfolk Island people. This evening, we dine at Bounty Bar & Grill for a two-course dinner, one of the best restaurants on Norfolk.

DAY 6 (BLD): Norfolk Indulgence & Glass Bottom Boat – Sunday, 7^th February 2027

This morning, following breakfast, we head out on the Norfolk Indulgence Tour. We start the tour on the south-eastern side of Norfolk Island, at Ball Bay – just another stunning bay with magnificent ocean views! Here we will learn all about how they get fuel ashore, as this is where the supply is unloaded. We then move on to Steeles Point, to enjoy the sheltered valleys behind the coastal cliffs. You may even spot a White Fairy Tern nesting in the forest! From here, we head to the Captain Cook Monument, a scenic lookout where you will stand at the spot on the northern coast where Captain James Cook and his officers landed in 1774. It has some of the best sea views on the Island, with offshore rock formations like Bird Rock and Elephant Rock. We will finish the tour the way all fantastic tour should end – with wine, cheese & crackers on Mount Pitt. The Lookout gives a 360° view of the whole island, so it will be a picnic to remember. Next, we will be transferred to Emily Bay where Donald will share his knowledge of Norfolk’s unique marine life.  Once you’ve ‘walked the plank’ to board this Mutineer Descendant’s Glass Bottom Boat it takes just 60 seconds to be at the reef.  View beautiful coral gardens & tropical fish inside the calm crystal waters of Norfolk’s lagoon.  Don provides a full & interesting commentary on this environmental tour.  You should be prepared for a touch of Norfolk humour. We will enjoy a light lunch with Don. Dinner tonight is in the resort restaurant before we head out for a night to remember. Wonderland by Night celebrates the colourful history of Norfolk Island and how the past has shaped its identity.  The setting is 10 acres of magical Norfolk Pines, which are lit up like a magical enchanted forest. Meander along (or ride in the ‘moon buggy’) through a gentle winding path with a descendant of the Bounty Mutineers, as they recite poems and light up the dioramas, while sharing entertaining stories. Enjoy supper at the end of the walk, before being transferred back to our accommodation.

DAY 7 (BD): Life as Convict – Monday, 8^th February 2027

After our late-night activities last night, we enjoy a leisurely morning today, with breakfast at the resort and time to relax by the pool. Early afternoon, we head out for a Convict Settlement Tour, an in-depth tour of the historic Georgian settlement of Kingston. Walk through the cemetery and hear the history of interesting convict & colonial headstones, hear stories of the houses along Quality Row. Walk through the ruins of the New Gaol, see the Pier Store, Boat Shed & the Crank Mill. Tonight, we continue to experience life as a convict, as we dress up as convicts ourselves and suffer through dinner with the Commandant. Think singing, laugher and a whole lot of silliness.

DAY 8 (BD): Breakfast Bushwalk & Souveneirs – Tuesday, 9^th February 2027

We will earn our breakfast this morning, starting the day with a walk in the great outdoors with a delicious breakfast waiting at the end!  Take your choice of a stroll through Palm Glen Reserve or for the more energetic, a leisurely 3.5 km walk through scenic Mt. Bates (the highest point on the island) to Captain Cook Monument. At the end of the walk, we all meet up on the clifftop for a delicious breakfast barbecue. If you would prefer to sleep in and skip the bush walk, but would like to have breakfast on the clifftop, you can join the walkers at Captain Cook Monument and share in the festivities. Following our breakfast feast, we return to our accommodation for some free time for the rest of the day. This is a perfect time to get some last-minute souvenir shopping done or get the last of your relaxing in by the pool. Tonight we enjoy dinner at the Governor’s Lodge Resort.

DAY 9 (B): Return to Wagga Wagga – Wednesday, 10^th February 2027  

All good things must come to an end, so today we enjoy a final breakfast at the resort, before bidding farewell to our new friends at Paradise Hotel & Resort. We are transferred to the Norfolk Island Airport for our return flight to Sydney. On arrival to Sydney, we collect our luggage and make our way home to Wagga after an incredible and relaxing tour.

Welcome to our very special 5-day tour to Tamworth for the 2026 Country Music Festival. Once the coach is loaded, we’re ready to go.  We express through to Tamworth stopping in Forbes for morning tea then lunch at Dubbo RSL. On arrival late afternoon we check into our city centre accommodation – our base for the next 4 nights, so relax and make yourself comfortable ready for the best country music Australia has to offer.

Day 2 (BD): Exploring Tamworth – Friday, 22^nd January 2027

Following a hearty breakfast this morning we will visit the Tamworth Country Music Hall of Fame for a guided tour which showcases the country music story in Tamworth. From the welcome introduction, by multi-award-winning actor and Australian icon Jack Thompson, we will experience fascinating exhibits, audio visual presentations and an amazing display of memorabilia. Living history is presented from some of Australia’s legendary country music artists such as Tex Morton and Slim Dusty, through to contemporary memorabilia from ‘new stars’ Keith Urban and Kasey Chambers.  Many of Australia’s major country music stars, past and present, are represented in the displays and many have supplied their own special souvenirs and keepsakes to make this exhibition a very special experience. Next, we head off on an orientation tour of Tamworth, including a visit to the Oxley Scenic Lookout, which provides a spectacular view over Tamworth. Following this, we head back into town in time for you to find some lunch and head out into the Country Music Festival to take in some of the amazing free shows or head off to a show that you have booked for yourself.

Day 3 (BD): Country Music Festival & Parade – Saturday, 23^rd January 2027

Today we experience the Country Music Festival and all its regalia. The Parade through the city centre attracts one of the largest crowds of the festival so it is best to be in place early to get a good view.  We will be ready at 9am to watch approximately 70 floats, bands and equine groups make their way through Tamworth’s CBD.  Bring your hat, sunscreen and camera. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy the performances throughout the city centre. Tamworth is unique at this time of the year with its easy-going camaraderie, echoing such phrases as “G’day mate and “where are you from”?  The friendly atmosphere is obvious through its concerts and shows, its buskers, its folding chairs, big hats and eskies.  Enjoy the day before dinner back at the motel. As an optional extra tonight, tickets can be purchased to attend the Golden Guitar Awards Night. This event is much more than the presentation of the coveted Golden Guitars – it’s a fast-paced concert that’s a night of non-stop entertainment and special magic moments you won’t see anywhere else.

Day 4 (BLD): Tamworth to Nundle – Sunday, 24^th January 2027

This morning after breakfast we join the coach for some local touring.  We head via Dungowan to Nundle where we visit the Nundle Woolen Mill.  The mill backs onto Oakenville Creek, where miners panned for gold more than 100 years ago. It stands as an attractive Woolen Mill and store, evoking the ambiance of a century-old factory. The Mill exterior is a composition of natural hues, while the interior is an explosion of color – 8 ply, 12 ply and 20 ply yarn, spun and dyed in an extensive range of fashionable colors. Sleek display cabinets are filled with brilliant balls and hanks of wool, enticing experienced and novice knitters alike to begin a new project. The Nundle Woolen Mill Shop opens onto an observation deck where today we join a tour to view the day’s tasks, be it opening and picking bales of wool, spinning, twisting, or dyeing yarn.  After our tour there is time to browse through the shop before lunch at the historic Peel Inn before we return to Tamworth.  Today is the last day of the festival so this is our final chance to enjoy the festival atmosphere.  Once again, we enjoy dinner at our accommodation.

Day 5 (BL): Tamworth to Wagga Wagga – Monday, 25^th January 2027

After breakfast we load up the coach and farewell our hosts before our journey back to Wagga Wagga. Along the way we will stop for morning tea in Coolah, then enjoy lunch in Dubbo again before continuing to Wagga. Arriving back in town, we bid you farewell and thank you for your part in another excellent Priest’s tour.

Day 1 (LD): WAGGA WAGGA TO YARRAWONGA – Tuesday, 8^th December 2026

Welcome to our 3-day summer getaway to the award-winning Sebel Yarrawonga overlooking Lake Mulwala. Leaving Wagga Wagga, we head to the Corowa Distilling Company for morning tea. From Corowa we visit the heritage-listed Savernake Station. The 1886 Homestead is perched gracefully atop a sandhill, offering views of the surrounding native forest. We take a look at the Woolshed and Shearers’ Quarters, dating back to 1912 which have been meticulously preserved to maintain their original functionality while offering a glimpse into a bygone era. For lunch we head into Mulwala and stop at the Club, then in the afternoon visit Rich Glen Yarrawonga Provedore. Located in the heart of Yarrawonga, experience a tasting of regional produce and explore artisan olive oils, dressings, condiments, wines, cheese and gin.  A great way to end the day before heading to our stunning hotel.

Day 2 (BLD): EXPLORING THE REGION – Wednesday, 9^th December 2026

Following a relaxing breakfast, we travel to the historic Byramine Homestead. This fascinating colonial house was built in the early 1820s by Elizabeth Hume, sister-in-law of Hamilton Hume the explorer. It is one of the oldest homes in Australia, and its name means ‘rustic retreat’ although it was, in essence, a fortress. Elizabeth Hume’s husband had been murdered by bushrangers.  To protect herself and her 9 children, the house was built in an octagonal shape to provide a clear view of all angles in the case of attack. Often the family had to hide in the cellar which we can see on our tour. Enjoy a tour, wander in the maintained gardens and enjoy morning tea. Next travel to Koonoomoo to visit The Big Strawberry. Time for a bit of retail therapy before enjoying lunch.  Another unique visit this afternoon in Strathmerton for our visit to Cactus Country. The Hall family run business has been a labour of love for many years, which we will hear about before a self-guided walk through this large garden with over 4,000 different species of cacti from Africa, North America, Mexico and South America!  Returning to our hotel we have some time at leisure to enjoy the facilities including a day spa, infinity swimming pool and plenty of leisurely walking paths around Lake Mulwala.

Day 3 (BL): YARRAWONGA TO WAGGA WAGGA – Thursday, 10^th December 2026

Starting the day with a hearty breakfast, we then check out and pack the coach. Next, we join the PS Cumberoona for a morning cruise on Lake Mulwala. The lake was developed in 1939 by the completion of the Yarrawonga Weir, which was part of the massive Lake Hume project to harness the waters of the Murray for irrigation purposes. The Lake is home to hundreds of thousands of ghostly dead gums, tall grey sentinels that remain as a reminder of the past when they drowned with the filling of the Lake. On completion of our cruise, it’s now time to start heading home. We will travel through Howlong, and enjoy lunch from the famous Howlong Country Bakery, before returning to Wagga Wagga and bidding you all farewell.

Browse the unique boutiques, specialty stores and galleries, perhaps getting an early start on your Christmas shopping, or simply relax and soak up the atmosphere of one of Australia’s best-preserved Georgian villages. Welcome to an exciting adventure discovering Tasmania with Priests Coaches. Once everyone is onboard, off we head to the North Geelong terminal to join our Spirit of Tasmania cruise across to “the other side”. We will stop along our journey to enjoy lunch before continuing. Arriving with plenty of time to load the coach onto the cargo deck, we board and find our cabins. The cabins are very comfortable, with twin bed accommodation and ensuite bathroom. The facilities on the vessel are extensive with lounges, bars, shops and viewing areas. Dinner is served in the Tasmanian Marketplace Kitchen before retiring for the evening.

Day 2 (BLD): DEVONPORT TO LAUNCESTON – Thursday, 19^th November 2026

On arrival in Devonport our coach is unloaded, and we head for breakfast at the nearby Argosy Motor Inn and from here we can commence our days touring. Leaving Devonport, we now head to Sheffield and take a look at all the Murals before our first stop at the Ashgrove Cheeses Dairy Door. The new visitor centre recently re-opened and here we can see how cheese is made, watch the cheesemakers in action, or learn about Ashgrove’s unique pasture to plate philosophy in the interpretation centre. Next, visit Melita Honey Farm for some delicious tastings of the produce. Behind the safety of the glass, view how thousands of bees produce honey. From here we head to nearby Deloraine, where we visit Yarns: Artwork in Silk. Then we travel on to Launceston and arrive at Country Club Tasmania for a lovely buffet lunch. This afternoon we join Tamar River Cruises aboard the Lady Launceston and explore the Old Launceston Seaport before cruising to Kings Wharf viewing historic vessels and Launceston’s delightful riverfront precinct. The highlight of the experience is then cruising into the spectacular Cataract Gorge as we engage Lady Launceston’s unique and silent electric drive. View the sheer cliffs and cascades from our seats on this 1890’s style vessel. We’ll enjoy the skippers captivating commentary on the history of this fascinating area. Our day concludes as we check into our Launceston hotel for the next 2-night stay.

Day 3 (BLD): TAMAR VALLEY – Friday, 20^th November 2026

This morning we explore Cataract Gorge, the magnificent oasis in the city, from land. After a pleasant stroll exploring the landscaped gardens, we head to the majestic Tamar Valley. We begin at Beaconsfield where we’ll visit the Gold and Heritage Museum, a place where you can lose yourself within its history. Play with treasures from the past and uncover a different story around every corner. At Beauty Point, enjoy lunch at Seahorse World before gaining unique access into the world of the mysterious seahorse and watch the shy Tasmanian platypus’ going about their daily business hunting for mealworms. This afternoon, head back to Launceston for dinner.

Day 4 (BLD): LAUNCESTON TO ST HELENS – Saturday, 21^st November 2026

Today is a day of delightful scenery as we drive through beautiful, forested countryside towards Tasmania’s East Coast. Our first stop is the world’s largest privately-owned lavender farm, Bridestowe Estate Lavender Farm. With our guide leading the way, we see the farm in action on a tour of the flower shed and distillery. Experience a tasting with hints of lavender, before having morning tea and time to browse their extensive gift shop. We then continue through the pristine landscape to Legerwood to see some incredible tree carvings. Nine trees were planted to honour soldiers killed in World War I however in 2001 a report on the condition of the trees showed that they were no longer safe. The community was devastated that their memorials would be lost so it was suggested that the stumps be carved into a likeness of each soldier the trees represented. Eddie Freeman, a chainsaw carver from Ross, was employed to sculpt the masterpieces. Lunch today is at the Pub in the Paddock before we reach St Helens for our overnight accommodation.

Day 5 (BD): ST HELENS TO HOBART – Sunday, 22^nd November 2026

This morning’s touring takes us to the tranquil village of Ross. Discover Tasmania’s colonial history, amongst buildings erected in Australia’s earliest years. On arrival, a local tour guide will step aboard the coach and take us for a guided tour of the town, with time afterwards to buy some lunch. We’ll have a brief look through the Tasmanian Wool Centre, then depart south to Richmond, where the streets are paved with history. We stop to capture the oldest bridge in Australia, the convict-built Richmond Bridge, before we continue our travels into Hobart.

Day 6 (BLD): HOBART – Monday, 23^rd November 2026

Today we head to the Tasman Peninsula and take a drive through “Doo Town” before seeing some natural attractions such as the Tasman Arch and Devils Kitchen. A little further along is the Port Arthur Historic Site. The penal settlement has a special place of vivid history, cultural heritage and stories so compelling; you’ll want to hear them again and again. It’s a place where up to 12,000 prisoners were kept in an atmosphere of hopelessness and misery. Even though the Tasman Peninsula is spectacular, you can imagine the conditions, especially on a cold winter’s day, endured by the prisoners 150 years ago. We take a fascinating journey, retracting the life of convicts in the Visitor Centre, before a walking tour through the settlement and a harbour cruise. Leaving the site, we make our way back to Hobart where we can freshen up ready for dinner at the hotel.

Day 7 (BLD): HOBART TO QUEENSTOWN – Tuesday, 24^th November 2026

We say farewell to our hosts early this morning and begin our journey to the West Coast. This area is part of the huge South West National Park, which, combined with the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, makes up almost a full, one third of the land mass of Tasmania. Of course, much of this area is now World Heritage Listed. We stop at the beautiful Russell Falls in the Mt Field National Park for our morning tea at the Waterfalls Café – and a great photo opportunity. We then continue to Derwent Bridge (the geographical centre of Tasmania) where we stop for lunch at the Wilderness Hotel. Not too far away we visit the Wall in the Wilderness. The “wall” is a work in progress which will take several more years to complete. The panels, when complete, will measure 100 meters in length. In the reception area, there are many three-dimensional sculptures to view. This afternoon, we drive through the pristine wilderness of the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park through some of the state’s most spectacular lakes and mountain areas before the steep drive into Queenstown, a town which was established because of the discovery of gold and other minerals at Mount Lyell last century. Queenstown is surrounded by mountains, which were once covered in vegetation, but which are now strangely bare and stained purple, grey and pink by from sulphur fumes from mining processes. Bushfires and logging, combined with heavy rain which washed the soil away, have stripped many of the hills of vegetation and created Queenstown’s famous “moonscape”. We check into our accommodation and unwind prior to dinner.

Day 8 (BLD): GORDON RIVER – Wednesday, 25^th November 2026

Cruising down the iconic Gordon River is a must do when visiting Tasmania. Our cruise will bring the river and its rich history to life for an unforgettable experience. Cruising the scenic waterways, we’ll listen to intriguing stories of the region, passage through Hells Gates and step ashore Sarah Island to see some of Australia’s oldest convict ruins. We quietly cruise on the Gordon River which gives us a chance to see the famous reflections of the forest against the dark, mysterious waters. The Huon Pine, which can be found in this area, is commonly known to live for 2000 years. The age of an ancient tree recently “discovered” was put at 10,000 years and if verified, will be recognised as the oldest on earth. We have the opportunity at Heritage Walk to see these and other trees of the dense forest up close. We return to Queenstown to relax before dinner.

Day 9 (BLD): QUEENSTOWN TO SMITHTON – Thursday, 26^th November 2026

Today, we leave Queenstown and travel north through the mineral rich mountains, crossing the Vale of Belvoir and alpine cattle country to reach the jagged contours of Cradle Mountain National Park. Enjoy invigorating mountain air as we explore visiting such sights at Waldheim and Dove Lake. Be transfixed by this beautiful glacial lake with remnants of the last ice age etched in the surrounding rocks. Guided through a cool temperate rainforest we’ll see native trees and hopefully, some wildlife. Enjoy a light lunch at the nearby Cradle Mountain Hotel before heading to the sweet little coastal town of Smithton.

Day 10 (BD): SMITHTON TO BURNIE – Friday, 27^th November 2026

This morning we head to Stanley and the Northwestern coastline of Tasmania. Whilst here, we visit the Highfield Historic Site for a self-guided tour of the mansion which many regard as the birthplace of European settlement in the North West of Tasmania. Built from 1832 to 1835 as a residence for the chief agent of the Van Diemens Land Company, Edward Curr, it represents an important part of Tasmanian historic heritage. With outstanding views of Stanley and The Nut, it is hard to believe this area was once a convict enclave, but the proof is all around us in the convict barracks, cottages, chapel, pigsties and barns. Before leaving town, we have some free time to take a ride on the chairlift to the Summit of The Nut (optional and at own cost). Next, we head to Wynyard for some free time to purchase lunch, before arriving in Burnie, stopping at the Burnie Regional Museum to see the Federation Street exhibit and finally arriving at our hotel for the last night on the Apple Isle.

We have a relaxed start to the day before visiting Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden. Wander the commons, immersing ourselves in this internationally recognised garden, classified as a plant museum. The garden should look particularly beautiful at this time of year, so we take our time wandering through. Our lunch venue today is just outside Devonport at the House of Anvers Chocolate Factory. A delicious lunch is planned in this lovely setting, with a chance to look through the retail store. Next, we visit The Australian Axeman’s Hall of Fame, which is a national museum showcasing Australia’s wood-chopping sporting champions – very unique! Tonight we board the Spirit of Tasmania for our overnight crossing back to Geelong.

Welcome to our 8-day tour of Adelaide and Surrounds. This morning we get underway and travel to Hay and take a look at the Hay Water Tower Art. Using the towns Water Towers as a backdrop, Melbourne artist Matt Adante, created a lasting memorial to the contribution of the people of Hay to the World Wars. The Water Tower Art is the latest edition to the Silo Art Trail that has proved such an attraction for regional Australia. Next, we call into the National Shearer’s Hall of Fame – Shear Outback – a monument to contemplate, celebrate and honour shearers and shearing. We have lunch here, then make our way via Balranald to Mildura for our overnight stay.

This morning we visit to Woodsies Gem Shop, Australia’s largest gemstone-cutting and jewellery-manufacturing complex. Browse through fascinating collections of fossils, jewellery, and crystal before travelling across the South Australian border stopping in at Riverland Wine Centre to enjoy a tasting, talk exploring the vibrant wine industry of the Riverland. Enjoy lunch here, before leaving the Riverland, we have a quick look at the Art Silo’s in Waikerie, and then through to Adelaide, we make our way to our hotel for the next 3 nights.

Day 3 (BD): DISCOVERING ADELAIDE – Saturday, 17^th October 2026

Once considered a sleepy city, Adelaide has undergone a rapid transformation with world-class art, music and sporting facilities to discover. We meet our local guide for a tour of the city, and for an excellent overview of the city and its Parklands we make a stop at Montefiore Hill. It was from this spot that Colonel Light planned a great city of the future in the sweeping valley below. Easily seen from the Hill is Adelaide Oval, one of the most beautiful Cricket Ovals in the world. Later this morning we have arranged a tour to the Adelaide Oval. The redeveloped oval offers a unique blend of new and old – from the latest in stadium design to the famous features such as the heritage listed scoreboard, the century-old Moreton Bay Fig trees and the grassed northern mound. We have some free time to purchase lunch at the Adelaide Central Markets and this afternoon we head to beautiful Carrick Hill. Carrick Hill was a creation from the imagination of a man and his wife who decided to bring, to their home city of Adelaide, some of the magic that they had been so captivated by when honeymooning in England. Sir Edward Hayward created a Tudor manor house set in almost 100 acres of scenic bushland. Carrick Hill was bequeathed to the people of South Australia by Sir Edward and Lady Hayward and is now maintained by the State Government.

Day 4 (BHT): THE BAROSSA VALLEY – Sunday, 18^th October 2026

Our touring today takes us to the renowned wine-producing region, the Barossa Valley. We make our way to the iconic Seppeltsfield Winery, established in 1851. The history of this winery and its owners is truly fascinating, which we will hear about on our tour after which we enjoy a tasting. Onsite also is the beautiful Jam Factory with artisans’ workshops and bespoke retail outlets, and Vasse Virgin, producers of all-natural handmade skin and body care products. Our next stop is the Barossa Chateau. This is a baroque style chateau surrounded by 30,000 roses and filled with one of the world’s great collections of Meissen porcelain, antique furniture, tapestries, and paintings. We enjoy a guided tour around the gallery followed by an elegant High Tea at the Chateau. There will also be time for a wander around the rose garden and look around the great gift shop. Next, we enjoy a wine tasting at Jacobs Creek Visitor Centre, where back in 1847, a young Bavarian immigrant, Johann Gramp, planted the valley’s first commercial vineyard on the banks of Jacobs Creek. After a great day exploring the Barossa, we return to Adelaide where dinner tonight will be at our own expense.

Day 5 (BD): ADELAIDE TO MONARTO – Monday, 19^th October 2026

Departing Adelaide, travel into the Adelaide Hills, to Melba’s Chocolate and Confectionery Factory, where we watch artisans in action as they make their delicious treats! We then wander next door to Woodside Cheese Wrights, who produce an original range of handmade cheeses for us to taste. Next, visit “The Cedars”. World renowned artist, Hans Heysen, settled in Hahndorf in 1908 and built his studio, “The Cedars” in the style of a Bavarian Chalet. This was his base as he painted extensively on site in the hills around Hahndorf and in the Flinders Ranges. Travelling towards Hahndorf – Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement, it’s a superb “flashback” to the nineteenth century with its shops, eating houses and attractions housed in authentic surroundings. After some time to purchase lunch, visit the Beerenberg Strawberry Farm, where we will have the opportunity to purchase from their gift range and the large range of delicious preserves. You may not know, but Beerenberg products can now be found in 24 countries, on major airlines and in more than 300 hotels! Experience South Australia’s newest experience – Monarto Safari Resort, the property features a modern, design-led hotel offering nature-based serenity and unique views of the safari park’s native and African wildlife. Tonight, soak in the last rays of the sun on a guided tour of the Wild Africa precinct after hours from the Safari Truck, you’ll be immersed in parklands and watch free roaming herds of animals from the comfort of the Safari Truck and savouring sunset, drinks and canapes.

Day 6 (BLD): MONARTO SAFARI PARK – Tuesday, 20^th October 2026

Spend the day next door at the Monarto Safari Park, the largest open air safari experience outside of Africa! Immerse yourself in the sights, smells and sounds of the savannah as we travel across the open plains through herds of animals seemingly free to roam – safari style. With over 50 species of native and African animals, the park plays a major role, nationally and internationally, in breeding programs for rare and endangered species. After time for lunch, we’re in for a real treat when we embark on The Lions 360 Experience. It’s Australia’s only 360-degree lion encounter which gives you a prey’s eye view into the world of these incredible predators. Walking through the tunnel, we’ll emerge within clawing range of one of Australia’s largest lion prides. The safe but adventurous encounter will leave us amazed. Returning to the resort we have some time at leisure, why not take in the views and watch for wildlife gathering at the waterhole as you unwind in the resort’s heated pool or bar.

Today is a travel day as we begin our journey back to New South Wales. Our route takes us past Murray Bridge to Tailem Bend where we join the Mallee Highway to Pinnaroo. Over the border, we continue to Ouyen for our lunch stop before heading east to Swan Hill for our last night on tour.

We pack our bags one last time this morning, but the tour isn’t over yet. Departing Swan Hill, we begin our journey home through the little town of Lake Boga. Here we visit the Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum. The museum holds more than 500 artefacts relating to Lake Boga’s proud history associated with WWII, including the historic Catalina Flying Boat and a range of wartime treasures that have been preserved for future generations. Day 1 (LD): WAGGA WAGGA TO SYDNEY – Thursday, 8^th October 2026

Departing from Wagga Wagga, we make our way to Sydney with a stop along the way for lunch. Upon arrival, we check in to our accommodation at the PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, allowing plenty of time to relax and prepare for our evening. We then gather for dinner at the hotel’s renowned ABODE Restaurant before heading to the iconic Sydney Opera House for the evening performance of MY FAIR LADY. Enjoy this timeless musical from excellent A-reserve seating before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 (BL): SYDNEY TO WAGGA WAGGA – Friday, 9^th October 2026

This morning, we enjoy a leisurely buffet breakfast at the hotel before checking out and departing Sydney. Travelling south into the beautiful Southern Highlands, we visit the spectacular Tulip Time Festival in Bowral. Renowned as one of Australia’s oldest and most colourful floral festivals, Tulip Time showcases thousands of vibrant tulips and seasonal blooms throughout the picturesque Corbett Gardens. After time to wander the gardens and enjoy the festival atmosphere, we continue to Mittagong RSL Club for lunch before commencing our journey home to Wagga Wagga.
